CWAV RECEIVES EE TIMES’ ACE AWARD
For USBee AX Test Pod
Temecula, California/April 11, 2006 ~ CWAV, a Southern California-based electronics company, received top honors on April 4th at CMP Media’s EE Times Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Award ceremony (www.eet.com). CWAV’s USBee AX suite of programmable mixed-signal oscilloscope test pods (AX-Standard, AX-Plus and AX-Pro) won the ACE Ultimate Product of the Year in the Test and Measurement category. The 2006 ACE Awards marks the most innovative companies, products, individuals and technologies of 2005 as determined by a panel of experts in the electronics field. Contenders in this category included products from the industry’s largest companies, including a 100 MHz oscilloscope, a Portable Oscilloscope, a Real-Time Oscilloscope with Z-Active Probe and a 100 GHz Bandwidth Scope. “We were happy just being a finalist, but winning against products from industry leaders for testing equipment really validates our products, our insight into what engineers really need and our business direction,” stated Tim Harvey, Principal of CWAV.
The AX is an affordable PC-based pod that functions as a programmable oscilloscope, logic analyzer and digital signal generator all in one compact and easy to use unit. “With the creation of the USBee AX, embedded engineers no longer need to have a $10,000 piece of equipment to do most daily tasks,” comments Harvey. Used for testing and controlling electronic circuit designs, it verifies analog voltage levels and digital logic used in design, generating easy to read displays. For elaborate testing, the AX’s buffer capacity is able to hold substantial information.

About the USBee AX Test Pod
Offered at three price points, the AX comes in Standard, Plus and Pro. AX-Standard comes with oscilloscope and logic analyzer modules for $545.00. AX-Plus builds on the Standard’s strengths and adds a signal generator and USB, 12C, SPI and Async decoder modules; it is affordable at $745.00. AX-Pro contains all pieces included in the Plus package with the addition of a data logger, frequency counter, remote controller, PWM controller, frequency generator, pulse counter and USBee AX ToolBuilder source code library. The source code library allows programming in Visual Basic or Visual C. AX-Pro is priced at $1045.00.
